Sitting in the ICU cause he can’t quench his thirst.
His wife is crying, his daughter is screaming, and his sister feels helpless.
His father sees him as a disgrace and his mother hopes to make him better.
All he wanted to do was to feel something good just one more time.
But now he’s sitting in an ICU shaking uncontrollably.
Wishing he could be home.
Wishing he didn’t have that thirst.
Wishing he could say sorry.
Knowing that he could have never been able to kiss his wife, hold his daughter, or talk to his sister again.
All for a feeling.
Or at least the lack there of.

I’ve got 10 fingers, 10 toes, 2 arms, 2 legs, 2 eyes, no diseases, I woke up out of bed this morning, turned off the alarm on my Droid, Went to school, learned something, and hung out with my best friend, never got shot at, never heard anyone die, never had to kill anyone, my life is fantastic.
I’m going to college next year where i’ll be working FOR REAL to get my commission in the US Marine Corps. I’ve got an amazing family who supports me in everything I do. I have plenty of friends.
The blue period is over. Fuck all the past. Anything that happened there, stays there because there isn’t anything I can do about it. Past loves, past hates, none of that matters.
All that matters is that I wake up next morning/afternoon, and put a smile on my face and fuck up so much shit that I get bruises.
